Files encrypted with Lockystar require the application to be decrypted. However, you can easily invite your contacts to join Lockystar for free to access shared documents.

No, Lockystar does not collect or store your data or metadata. Encryption is performed locally on your device, and you retain full control over where your encrypted files are stored.

This backup only concerns the cryptographic keys that you explicitly chose to upload to Lockystar's servers, so you can recover them in case of device loss or replacement. You can request their deletion at any time by entering your email address on the dedicated page: https://app.lockystar.com/static/#/clear-personal-backup. A confirmation email will be sent to validate the operation. This deletion is final.

Lockystar is available on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. The application syncs automatically across all your devices.

For security and privacy reasons, Lockystar does not have access to your password. If you forget it, we cannot recover it. It is therefore important to keep it in a safe place.
